My spring makeup obsessions

Although we keep dipping in and out of sunshine and good weather. I think it’s safe to say that spring is here? (Fingers crossed this rainy spell passes QUICK!) I don’t know about you but my makeup tends to change with the seasons. In the winter I’m more off a smokey eye kinda girl, but as the sun comes out I lighten up my make up and normally go for more pink/gold tones. I wanted to share a few new products with you that I have added to my spring makeup collection that I really can’t get enough of right now!

Revolution Pro Regeneration Eyeshadow Palette – Unleashed

If you’ve followed some of my other makeup posts, you will see that Makeup Revolution plays a HUGE part in my eyeshadow collection! I was so excited when I saw their new pro range come out that I just had to get my hands on some of their new bits! This eyeshadow palette is stunning! These are not normally colours I would go towards but I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone a little and experiment and I’m so glad I did! There’s a range of purple tones mixed in with a few gold. Ive created a few looks with this now and absolutely LOVE it!! I’m thinking of doing a later blog post on the looks you can create, so keep a look out if you’re interested! As always the pigment is great and the colours really pop!

Maybelline Lash Sensational

I was recommended this mascara by the lovely Abi from Ramblings of a Blonde. I had been using the No7 Lash Effect mascara for quite some time but I fancied a change. I headed to Superdrug with Abi where I picked up the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. I wasn’t 100% sure that I would get on with the curved brush but I thought I’d give it a go – it was only £8.99 after all. It took me a couple of attempts to get use to the brush but WOW what a mascara! It lengthens, lifts and volumises. There’s no smudging or crumbling and it’s not difficult to remove! This will definitely become a staple in my makeup bag!

L’Oréal Blush – Life’s a Peach

I saw pictures of this several times in the amazing L’Oréal PR package that a few bloggers were sent and I knew I needed to try it. I had been using a pink toned blush but wanted something more peachy for the spring and summer. The packaging itself is beautiful, being rose gold I was drawn in! The blush has a peach imprint which I love and it smells AMAZING!!! Of peach of course! This was a lovely surprise! It’s well pigmented and you get a lot of product for the price.

Revolution Pro Supreme Highlighter – Gold

I was in need of a new highlighter and am a little obsessed with MUR! I grabbed this one in a 3-4-2 offer – it caught my eye because of the 3 gorgeous shades; silver, gold and rose gold. I have used this everyday since purchasing it! I love the tones of each one, they are beautifully shimmery without being glittery or to OTT. The only thing I would say is that it’s a little messy! I use a fan brush and the powders have started to crumble slightly. I am looking for an alternative to this brush so if anyone has any recommendations please leave them in the comments! All in all though I do love this highlighter and will stick with it throughout spring and summer!
